How much does a website cost in the Kootenays?
It depends on scope: a focused site for a small business is a very different project from an e-commerce store or a custom web app. Rather than a one-size price list, we start with a free consultation, look at what you actually need, and quote a fixed scope so there are no surprises or meters running. As a one-person Kootenay studio there's no agency overhead baked into the price. You pay for design and development, not account managers.
Do you use templates or page builders like Wix?
No. Every site is designed and coded from scratch, which is why our clients' sites don't look like anyone else's. Custom-built sites also load faster and rank better, because they're not dragging around the bloat that page builders bundle in. If you're currently on Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress, we can migrate your content across as part of the build.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes, refreshes are a big part of what we do. We keep what's working (your content, your search rankings, your brand equity) and rebuild the parts that aren't: dated design, slow pages, sites that fall apart on a phone. Old URLs get redirected properly so you don't lose the Google standing you've built up.
Who owns the website once it's built?
You do, outright. The design, the code, the content, and the domain are yours, and the site comes with a management back-end so you can update pages and images yourself without paying a developer for every text change. No lock-in, no hostage-taking. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, you can.
